Which unemployment insurance fund is responsible for me?

You determine this yourself when you declare unemployment. There are 38 unemployment insurance funds in Switzerland.

When it comes to insolvency (bankruptcy) of the employer, the public unemployment fund of your canton of residence must take action. In all other cases, you can choose between the public (cantonal) fund or a private fund of an employee or employer organisation. We recommend the unemployment insurance fund of the syndicom trade union.
