Illness and accident
You must report an illness or accident to your RAV (Regional Employment Center) within one week.
In case of illness, you are only entitled to unemployment benefits for the first 30 days of your incapacity for work. Within the framework period for the receipt of benefits, daily sickness benefits are limited to 44.
In the event of an accident, you must also report it to your unemployment insurance fund and, if you have taken part in a labour market measure, to the organiser. In the event of an accident, you will receive benefits from the unemployment insurance fund for the first 3 days (including the day of the accident). After that, you will receive daily allowances from Suva.
Incapacity for work due to pregnancy is treated in the same way as incapacity for work due to illness.
