On monitoring-free days, you are exempt from the monitoring obligation:

  • You do not have to make any work efforts.
  • You do not have to be fit for placement.

Entitlement

After 60 days of registered unemployment, you are entitled to 5 days of «monitoring holidays» (1 week).

Use of the monitoring holidays

You may only take the holidays by the week. You must notify your RAV of the holidays 2 weeks in advance.

You can save up the 5 monitoring-free days, e.g. to take 10 days of «monitoring holidays» (2 weeks) after 120 days of monitored unemployment.

Monitoring-free days not taken cannot be carried over to a new qualifying period. Cash payment of unused monitoring-free days is not possible.
