{"id":554,"date":"2026-04-28T10:28:02","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T08:28:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alk.syndicom.ch\/?post_type=syn_faq&#038;p=554"},"modified":"2026-05-05T11:38:34","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T09:38:34","slug":"what-are-monitoring-free-days","status":"publish","type":"syn_faq","link":"https:\/\/alk.syndicom.ch\/en\/faq\/what-are-monitoring-free-days\/","title":{"rendered":"What are monitoring-free days?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-background-color has-primary-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-07f13a317e9db4bd8b21f23ace74e382 is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-narrow is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:53px\">What are monitoring-free days?<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-background-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-narrow is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>On monitoring-free days, you are exempt from the monitoring obligation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You do not have to make any work efforts. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You do not have to be fit for placement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entitlement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After 60 days of registered unemployment, you are entitled to 5 days of \u00abmonitoring holidays\u00bb (1 week). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use of the monitoring holidays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You may only take the holidays by the week. You must notify your RAV of the holidays 2 weeks in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can save up the 5 monitoring-free days, e.g. to take 10 days of \u00abmonitoring holidays\u00bb (2 weeks) after 120 days of monitored unemployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monitoring-free days not taken cannot be carried over to a new qualifying period.
